Cowboy and I have been married for four years and we finally found our dream home. This little stucco beauty is 900 sq.ft. with a detached garage and 5 acres. Essentially, it is everything we have been looking for in our first home. A place with some room to grow but not too much to maintain, a place for our children to run and play and something with some good bones to build on. The idea of a new build has never enticed me. There are too many directions one could head when starting a house from scratch. The process seems overwhelming and my hat is off to those who have taken that step themselves. Congrats!
I have pretty much always known (or at least since I have been deemed an adult) that I have wanted to buy an existing home that I could transform into what I want. Essentially, I need a starting point. This little baby that we now own is just that. We closed on the house in October of 2023 and began construction after the start of the new year. We are now knee deep in decision making and dreaming this house into existence. It is fun. It is stressful. It is a LOT of research. I am excited to share with you what I have learned so far and will be learning in the future. It would be so awesome if my work and knowledge could help you guys bypass the hours of internet surfing and reading to find what you need to know for your own project.
